Why LEAP?
Looking for an autism center that will help your child achieve? LEAP offers intergrated ABA, Speech, Occupational and Board Certified Music therapy for children age 5 and up. Our carring and professional team work 1:1 with children in Overland Park to help keep them moving forward in meeting goals and being their very best.
All our programs are individually tailored to address your child's needs and to help them build new skills. At LEAP we understand that skills can continue to emerge with appropriate therapy at any age. We listen to and work with parents when formulating goals and we use scientifically proven methods to turn those goals into achievements.
ABA therapy is endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics for children with autism. ABA has been a scientifcally proven method for the last 30 years to help ASD children succeed. Incorporating regular speech therapy is aslo proven to help children make greater progress. And Music therapy is utilized in pediatric hospitals accross the country including Children's Mercy Hospitals right here in the KC metro area because they know it helps children increase their communication, learning, social skills and appropriate social behaviors. LEAP provides year-round therapy for children with autism to preserve gains and keep them moving forward.
Our Staff
At LEAP we are committed to hiring only highly trained staff working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior analyst (BCBA). Our implementers can come from multiple possible complimentary backgrounds in education, psychology, music therapy or special education. What they have in common is that they are all kind, patient people with a passion to help ASD children be as independent and successful as possible.
