Deanne obtained her B.S. in psychology and M.S. in counseling from Purdue University in Indiana.  Deanne is passionate about working with children on the spectrum.  Deanne has worked with children in center-based and home-based programs, as well as, domestic violence shelters, drug and alcohol and as an elementary guidance counselor.  She enjoys seeing the gains made by her clients and the impact it has on improving their lives and the lives of their families. Deanne resides with her husband, 3 dogs and a cat.  She has 3 grown children and 2 granddaughters, whom she thoroughly enjoys spending time with.  She feels especially blessed to work at LEAP and appreciates the opportunity to serve. 

Michelle Hass, MA-SLP, BCBA

Speech Language Pathologist, 

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Michelle Hass graduated in 2000 from the University of Kansas with a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Her passion for working with children on the autism spectrum had her return to KU to get her masters in Special Education/Autism in 2005. After working primarily as an SLP in both district schools and home settings for 12 years, Michelle completed her certification and licensure as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  Michelle has extensive knowledge in EIBI (Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention) and has both attended and provided years of training on Applied Behavior Analysis, Verbal Behavior, Positive Behavior Supports, Discrete Trial Intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behavior Management and Supports in the Home and Classroom Setting,  Natural Environment Teaching, Functional Communication Training and much, much more! Michelle is a proud wife and mother of 3 young children who not only keep her busy, but allow her to appreciate the perspective of busy, working families and the extra joys and sometimes challenges that come with them. She grew up in the Kansas City area and comes from a family of educators and allied health providers.  She believes that every child deserves to be heard and happy and is committed to helping yours do so!

Danielle Yeager, OTD, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Danielle graduated from University of Kansas Medical Center with her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Occupational Therapy. She has been working in the field for over 5 years, and is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.


Danielle also received specialized training in Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the Center for Child Health and Development at KUMC. During her time there she increased her study in the area of autism, and was a part of autism diagnostic teams.


Outside of Occupational Therapy, Danielle is passionate about teaching piano to children and adults with and without diagnoses, traveling, and taking care of her many animals.


Maggie Harper, MT-BC

Board Certified Music Therapist

Maggie received her Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. She is excited to be back in her home town after completing her music therapy internship in Chicago, IL at Lurie Children’s Hospital. She enjoys singing opera and spending time with her family. Maggie believes strongly in the power of music to reach each child’s innermost capabilities.
